Nick Perry hails from New Zealand and began his plumbing career in the UK in 2006. After honing his skills and gaining valuable experience, he made a significant move to Canada in 2014, where he has since continued to build his expertise and passion for the trade.
As the Business Development Manager, Nick plays a crucial role in steering the company’s growth and development. His responsibilities extend to managing finances, bookkeeping, and payroll, ensuring the company’s operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Outside of his professional life, Nick cherishes spending time with his family and enjoys taking walks with his dog. An avid traveller, he loves exploring new countries and immersing himself in different cultures. Nick is also a sports enthusiast, with a keen interest in soccer, rugby, baseball, and ice hockey. Additionally, Nick likes to DJ and is teaching himself music production, adding a creative outlet to his diverse interests.
Born and raised in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Willem has always been a local at heart.
His plumbing journey kicked off in 2012 when he was still in grade 12, thanks to a special incentive program offered to a select few. By the time he graduated high school, Willem had already earned his Level 1 plumbing apprenticeship, putting him ahead of the game. With a passion for learning and a drive to succeed, he jumped straight into the workforce. By the age of 23, Willem had earned his Red Seal certification, marking the full completion of his apprenticeship and assuring his status as a top-notch plumber.
As the Operations and Client Relations Manager, Willem absolutely adores engaging with clients and exploring the best solutions for our client partners. He is always brainstorming and eagerly seeking new methods to enhance our service processes, striving for greater efficiency and improved experiences compared to any previous visits to your home or establishment. Perfecting operational flow along with consistently delighted clients is truly
what fuels Willem’s passion for business. One thing Willem always says to the Straight Up team is “Remember! plumbing is just one aspect of the equation!”
Outside of his entrepreneurial pursuits, Willem enjoys quality time with his wife and son, embarking on long walks in their neighbourhood and embracing the great outdoors through camping adventures. When they’re not exploring the wilderness, Willem and his family frequently visit Kelowna to bond with relatives, and they make sure to add in plenty of trips to Sechelt for more family time. Sechelt holds a special place in Willem and his wife’s hearts, as they dream of one day calling it home sweet home permanently, settling down in their forever home.
